Chute Out vid and picture coverage....results too.

The Chute Out competition is a local event on the potomac river. The Chute Out event takes place the last Thursday of every month from April to September. This makes for 6 chute out events thoughout the year that are really exciting. The Chute out series is a great event for upcoming paddlers and local paddlers in the community to come out and have fun competing with no pressure. After the event there is also a raffle of products that are donated from sponsors.

This particular Chute Out event was the April event, but it took place today on March 5, 2005. The spot that the event was held at was Portage Hole on the Potomac. The level today was 4.07 on the Little Falls gauge. This spot is great for loops and cartwheels but it is still a very challenging and sometimes flushy spot.

It was a great event and I look forward to the next one in May, which will be on the last thursday of this month.

Nice, big thanks to James Sneerimger and Valley Mill for putting on such a fun, FREE, stress free event. If you are a D.C. boater or in the area the last Thurs. of every month you should definitely check it out.

p.s. Luke, do my ears deceive me or is that Taylor Dane rocking out in that video. Nice
