Ladies and Gentlemen:
Please don't kill the messenger. Went out on dawn patrol this morning for some playboating and a little fishladder. Unfortunately the fishladder is F'ed. There is now a locked in log-jam right in the ledges above the 4th slide that is in no way by-passable and creating a swirly eddy upstream while seriously limiting flow on number four. It looks like we might be worse off than before since there appears to be no good way to take out above the new log-jam. Could make for some interesting back channel though, there is less water in the top three drops on the back channel than there was before, since the third slide is now running. However a much larger percentage of the water going down the third is being diverted to the right and going over the drop that re-enters the back channel (bitch monkey). Your friendly neighborhood work crew was out there shovelling sh*t into the river effectively reinforcing the log-jam this morning (sweet). The good-ish news is that it looks like a high water event could potentially clean out, or relocate this new mess.
