We posted some pictures of the Potomac taken on Tuesday 1/25/05. Note that Anglers had a large ice shelf and Sandy Beach / Catfish Cove was frozen over.

How is your back? I know all about what a bummer back problems are. I have degenerative disk disease and have not had a day without pain for the last 15+ years. The only reason I'm not in a wheel chair is because I work out every day, ignoring my doctors instructions about no impact exercise. The stronger I make my abs and spinal erectors the less pain I have. I guess it would be even better to do only non-impact stretching and strengthening, but I don't have the dedication to workout without the reward of having fun! For me that means martial arts and kayaking.

Jim, that sucks, I had no idea (you must not complain like me). :) I hopefully plan on being back in a kayak in a week or so.
