Andrew, Justin, Schertzl, Josse, Alex Podolak, and I all rallied over to the Pennisula yesterday for Jefferson Creek. Justin and I had each done this creek once before, while it was a first for everyone else. The flow was a nice medium flow. The creek was even better than I remember it with quality boulder gardens never stopping. There was one quick portage on the right around a log early in the run. Then the (mandatory) portage on the left about midway through the run. Other than a few logs that can be negoitated around, its relatively clear of wood. Paul Heffernan caught us about 2/3 of the way down and showing us the lines, made the last section fly by. A great class V- creek that everyone should add to their list. There was a surprising amount of snow at the put-in considering the year we are having. Could get deep if winter ever returns.
