I’m 6’5" with 36" inseam and size 13 feet. I'm looking to purchase my first river runner/creek boat, but I've had a tough time finding a boat which I fit into comfortably.

I looked at Necky boats but had no luck, the WS Diesel is too short. I'm thinking about a Pyranha H:3.

Any advice would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

Have you tried a LL Gus/Hoss? Not sure if you'll fit but these are supposed to be big guy boats, I think.

There are a couple of boats out there that should work for you. Although it is on the more playful end of the river runners, the "Super Fun" by JacksonKayak should have enough room. Try as many boats as you can, I would check out the Liquid Logic Gus and the El Gefe. Although they are both Full on creekers they may have the requisite room.

One more word of advice, Outfitting can make all the difference. Raising the seet and moving it back will give you more foot and leg room. Colin Kemp out at Valley Mill could help you with this. He is a big fellow, probably 6-4 or 5 with 13s and a large inseam. He has been custom outfitting for years and could probably give you a hand and offer some excellent suggestions.

Good Luck

I paddle a Dagger CFS but I had to cut the foam of the bulkhead. I fit in the big dagger nomad I also have sat in a LL Gus and it fit well. Play boats to look at are the LL Air Head, Dagger G-Ride 6- 5 both put my legs to sleep in about a half hour. LL and Dagger are the only boat companies I've found that make boats for guys our size. Its a bitch but you just have to search and try a lot of boats to find on that fits.

p.s. the super EZ might be a choice too.

I feel your pain of trying to find a play boat when your tall! Im 6'6" and I was looking at the dagger GT 8.1 but I ended up buying the wave sport score. Its an older boat, but I fit in it! I've only had it about 6 months but I've used it about 15 times. Its a good boat for me if you wanna look into it! Good Luck
