View Full Version : Massive landslide on the upper Sultan (+video).
On Saturday the entire canyon wall caved in and dammed the river, only minutes after we paddled through. Details and video at http://www.kayakingsucks.com/sultan/sultan.html.
Amazingly, nobody was crushed under hundreds of tons of rock and dirt. Even more amazing is that nobody suffered a single injury during our 3 hour boat haul and hike out in the dark.

Andrew ....That is totally crazy. That should be on TV news or something.
I can't believe you guys where there for that.
It will be. I sent King 5 an email last night and they just contacted me for footage and an interview. Stay tuned for details (and hopefully a recording of the news broadcast).

I found the boulder projectiles particularly terrifying.

Enjoy. Of course they had to mess something up. Only a 30 foot climb out? That shouldn't have been so hard. It seemed more like 300 to me ;-)
