Today, BK, Tanya, and I parked and played on the New River Gorge at Lower Railroad. I paddled the ZG 54, the larger of the two ZG's, and it was super retentive and could loop giganticly. The big loops were nice because the water temp was about 33 F. There were alot of brain freezes. The river level today was 13,000cfs which is great for a lot of the play spots on the gorge. Upper Railroad was really good. Actually Bryan was surfing Upper Railroad hole while I was dorking around in this hole above it, and I accidentially fell out of the hole upstream and then knocked Bryan out of the Upper Railroad hole. The river left shoulder of upper railroad is a sweet, fast, air blunt shoulder. If it weren't so cold I would have hiked up and hit that spot over and over. Here are a couple of pictures from the day, taken by Bryan with his sweet new digital.

The ZG 54 is a super fast boat with a perfect bow for huge smooth loops with a wide power face on the deck for catching the water and initiating the loop.

Lower Railroad was at a perfect level.
