I was out at center chute this morning and am still having trouble hitting consistant vertical blunts/air blunts. I checked out the stuff in the riverskills section but could still use a few extra tips or tricks. Thanks for any help LP!

Center Chute is tough because the wave is smooth and symetrical and not a fast wave. Because it is so even across and symetrical there is not one location on the wave that is better then another. Sometimes the wave surges and the left blunt looks better than the right when you are surfing on the wave. ..
...Ok the key to center chute is to be in a fast boat and have the advantage on a slow wave. The ZG is one of the best boats for vertical blunts and air blunts because of its speed. The Wavesport Transformer is not a great boat for wave moves on a center chute type of wave. The second most important aspect is coming down the wave with the max amount of speed which means setting up on the very top of the wave. The higher the set up on the wave the more speed and the potential for more air and more vertical blunts...
...Lastly, maximize one technique or the other...for air blunts: edge the boat one way and as you bouce off the rail huck your boat into the other rail.
...for vertical blunt(no air, carving technique), try to carve across the wave agressively and slightly down the wave then snap your body into the opposite rail, initiating your bow(kind of like a cartwheel initiation. I hope some of this info helps. -Luke

When doing a carving ariel blunt: Think about this image and the technique and edging of the boat:
