I can do a back deck roll with a paddle flipping to my left, or in either direction as a hands roll. I am having trouble trying to roll flipping to my right. I can see that there's no way I can hold my paddle that will keep the blades from diving. Is there a way to do this roll to the right with a "standard" 45-deg RHC paddle?

My best advice would be to pay very close attention to how you hold and move your paddle when you do it to the left...then mimic your position to the right. That is how I orginally figured it out. -Luke

Thanks Luke. I got it tonight. I needed to get the left blade cocked back to climb more. This leaves the right blade almost vertical, so I make sure I don't put much weight on that blade.

It's always a good feeling to learn something new in a kayak.
