Why not WA? UW is the premiere school in the area. Also Western Washington in Bellingham. Washington is the best place to live as a boater in my opinion because you are four hours to everything in OR and about 4 hours to everything in BC. And Everything in WA in your backyard. Or I would suggest U of BC in Victoria....great surfing and supposedly a cool town. Boating when it rains, but you have to leave the island when it dries up. Good luck.
Let us know when you get out here.

hey jure eric orenstien is a junior also and hes looking at a bunch of colleges in the same area, he could probably give you some recommendations. I know lewis and clark is a great paddling school in oregon. not super hard to get into either. the river runs right through the campus so its ideal for wildwater training. don't know if theres gates.

Ever been on the Chilliwack River?
There is the "University of the Fraser Valley" (UCFV) campus in Chilliwack (10-15 in away from the river) and a campus in Abbotsford (about 20 min. away.) As well as a couple schools in the Vancouver area (about 1 - 1/2 hrs. away)
The Chilliwack river has great river running, some playing and the Chilliwack Lake offeres some good windsurfing (depending on river levels / weather).
Hope this helps!
