:D

Seriously, I'd like to be better and just settling in a hole of a wave hole. At MD chute, for instance, I've seen people sort of stall into a grind. In other holes, I'd like to be able to spin when I want to instead of having the feature kick me around.

Any thoughts.

BTW, tips from the clinic helped me recently get my first blunt and my first wavewheel (Cucumber, Lower Yough, 3.4, Sweet!). Thanks!

What type of boat are you in? what model and size?

After I wrote that last post, it occurred to me that I should have included that information.

I'm in an S6 200. I'm about 200lbs.

Also forgive the typos, that should read "hole or a wave hole."

Thanks.

Establishing, and sitting in, a side surf has a lot to do with the angle of your hull relative to the angle of the water. The greener and more wave-like the feature the more it will be necessary to edge a little upstream so your hull will sit parallel to the face of the wave. When your surfing a hole with a retentive foampile, the water entering the feature will generally be steeper and you will therefore have to lift your upstream edge and lean into the pile a little. As you expirement you will undoubtadely be doing a lot of power flipping, don't get discoraged, this comes with the territory. You just about have to flip upstream a bunch to really get a feel for proper hull angle.

Good Luck!

Then get a Flyer so you can do the $1600 ultra green grind... oh yeah!
